White Castle is now taking reservations for candlelight dinners! I have been trying to come up with a good way to open this post and nothing works better than this. My dad went by one on his way home the other night and they are taking calls for reservations for candlelit dinners on Valentines Day! For some cockamamie reason, my father seems to think this is a marvelous idea. According to him, the idea is like a butterfly, ugly with the potential for hairyness, and then after some transformation it becomes a beautiful butterfly. I'm of the opinion, if that's the case that butterfly has a lucky fin-er, wing. I mean seriously what are you going to do, slip the kid with greasy hair and the clip on a quarter for the table by the neon sign?
Guys, if you are going to take your girlfriend out for a nice dinner, and you can't afford a nice restaurant, skip making reservations and cook her dinner at home. She'll appreciate that better than a secluded table at McCormick and Shmick's.
on a more personal note, I have my bed back. I know I promised I would reveal the story of how my bed broke and here it is. My mother had woken me up early for some stupid reason (i can't recall what it was) and , desperate to get back to sleep, after doing what she asked, I got to the foot of my bed and collapsed on top, and it did the same beneath me. just the top left corner mind you. With every intention of fixing my self I placed a crate beneath the broken corner and went back to sleep. Now this is a good idea if one fixes the break that same day, but if you're like me, and you put it off day after day, than this is a bad idea. I realized this fact when a couple of nights later, the bottom corner on the same side collapsed in the middle of the night. I have been without a bed for the past few months. Until yesterday that is.
